What I learned from American Idol tonight:

Apparently, it is morally wrong for a white dude with dreads to cover a song made famous by a black dude with dreads.
Apparently, it's perfectly okay for some horrid white teenager to turn Ben E. King's "Stand By Me" into a pile of soft poo.
Baba O'Reilly is apparently a power ballad.
The Civil Rights Movement, being in American Idol's Top Four, same dif.

I want them all to go home, and then I want to watch those homes burn down.
