I saw that picture over at Blog del Jalapeño, and therefore had to listen to this bit of dropped-on-its-head brilliance:
Wish that were the theme song for a television show. I would watch that television show. I would buy it on DVD.
Que yo y'all, GANG is coming at you from out South Philly. Technically it might be some sort of dancepunkhiphopflashgordonwhatever (technically), and it comes t h i s close to being the sort of hipster detritus you'd be too cool to hose off your Crocs. But really it's just a bunch of silliness. Glorious, glorious silliness.
Duuuuuh.
You can see more pics here and stream more tunes at GANG's myspace. Their next scheduled NYC dates are with Bonde do Role and The Death Set, which (depending on whatever the hell Bonde do Role is, these days) sounds pretty much perfect; the line-ups at Europa on 5/14 (tix), Bowery 5/15 (tix).

Emmy the Great (myspace) is in town tonight, and to put an end to the ongoing line-up confusion (something called "Your Vegas" is now playing the 2-slot) they've gone ahead and just declared the thing Sold Out. "Sold Out" is so impersonal. I prefer a good old-fashioned restraining order.
